Career Development
Because no two people build their career track the same way, formal and informal
personal development drives the way we promote success at Wolf. Wolf is invested
in developing individuals and teams across the career spectrum, focusing on:
- Development Advising and Mentoring – Individuals gain critical insights about their performance and growth potential by working closely with a development advisor. Dan DeVasto
“A strong development program benefits our people toward achieving their goals and
enhancing their capabilities. This in turn benefits the entire Firm. The role of an effective
development advisor is key to the success of our development program.”
- Dan DeVasto (2005)
, Wolf's President and CEO, recognizes the importance of mentoring and coaching.
- Individual Development Plans – Everyone at Wolf has a development plan, a goal setting and communication tool used to chart career advancement.
- Rewards and Recognition – We recognize and reward exceptional performance on a regular basis with, for example, promotions, gift certificates, game nights, etc.
Performance Assessment
We recognize that performance feedback is a critical component of improving professional development across all levels of the firm. We have systems in place to gauge whether performance is on target or whether there are performance gaps in critical competencies that need attention.
- Performance Self Assessment – On a regular basis, our people conduct self-assessments of their work and balance their own perceived success with the performance perceptions of their supervisors.
- Performance Evaluation – As our people assess their own work, managers and development advisors work closely to review and monitor productivity and quality of work.
- Competency-Based Feedback – Delivering superior client service and achieving professional success goes beyond mastering technical skills. You are also given feedback for development on other key competencies such as:
- Interpersonal skills
- Professionalism
- Practice development
