The Role of the Chief Information Security Officer

June 26, 2012 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Over the last few years, regulators have been increasing the pressure over financial institutions and organizations to enhance their information security programs. In particular, the institution should have an individual who assumes responsibility for the program and ensures that it remains relevant in this constantly changing threat environment. While many larger institutions are hiring full time officers, community banks are often assigning the position as a part time role to an existing employee with other responsibilities. In this webinar, we will discuss important aspects of what it means to be your institution’s information security officer.

Specifically, we will cover the following:

  • Regulatory Expectations
  • Management Responsibilities
  • Policy Best Practices
  • Monitoring
  • Testing
