Banking Technology Connections: July 24, 2012
July 24, 2012
While social media sites like Facebook and Twitter may be seen by some as a complete waste of time, one of the articles this week ("Four tech trends in IT disaster recovery") discusses how these sites could actually be a strong component of your disaster recovery program. Could Facebook really be used as an effective communication channel when a disaster occurs?
It seems there has been an evolution, and your customers expect you to put information in front of them rather than them going to your website to get it for themselves. While static websites will always be a source of information, perhaps it is a good time to start thinking about adopting other online resources so you can be more interactive with your customers.
