Speaking
William J. Nowik, CCSFP, CISSP, CISA, PCIP, QSA will be speaking on the topic of The Dark Web: Risks and Controls at 8:30 AM on Wednesday, May 9th.

While plotlines in the Jason Bourne series, Homeland, and House of Cards, reference what can be found on the Dark Web, it is more than just a plot development tool. It is a very real marketplace of all things hidden, graphic, and very much for sale.

Its origins may come from sophisticated hackers, but it is now accessible by millions of disgruntled people and thieves.  As financial institutions you are doing what you can to protect the customer data that you house but your customers will continue to be the victims of crime as data is pilfered from more and more non-banking entities. In this presentation we will take you to the Dark Web and show you just what is there. We’ll share with you the strategies you can use to fight fraud on behalf of your customers and the kinds of conversations you should be having with your customers and your employees.

Tracy L. Hall, MBCP will be speaking on the topic of Designing an Effective BCP Testing Program at 9:45 AM on Wednesday, May 9th.

In our work, we find that there is often confusion as to how to develop a multi-year BCP testing program.  Financial institutions are overwhelmed with putting a program in place. Using your Business Impact Analysis can define what the testing program should be without adding unnecessary complexity and negatively impacting efficiency. Attendees of this presentation will learn:

  • How to use your BIA to inform your multi-year BCP testing plan
  • What components should be included and what could be left out
  • Where to start to get the most effective and manageable program
  • How to satisfy requirements for incorporating Risk Assessment results into your test plan

Stephen R. King, JD, AMLP will be moderating the topic of Integrating Sound Compliance Risk Management Practices at 9:45 AM on Wednesday, May 9th.

We will be exhibiting at Booths #16 & #17.
