Revenue Recognition for Technology Companies

November 17, 2017 @ 8:00am

Location: Wolf & Company, P.C., Boston MA

The new Revenue Recognition rules are quickly becoming the “law of the land” with adoption for public companies required in January and private companies following in 2019. As you think about applying the new standards and dig into the details, you probably have a lot of questions on how to move forward – we did too! So we’ve designed a hands-on workshop to help Software and Life Science companies move beyond the basics of the 5 Step Model and start making decisions.

We’ll break out into Software and Life Science groups so you can review and discuss revenue arrangements relevant to you, ask your peers how they’re handling it, and get in-depth perspective from a CPA.

Attendees of this session will learn:

  • Full vs. Modified retrospective adoption - advantages and disadvantages of each method
  • Common and overlooked issues when calculating the transition impact
  • Software revenue recognition for SaaS and perpetual license models
  • Revenue recognition for the license of intellectual property
  • Practical ideas for implementation

If you’re interested in learning how it will feel when you adopt, don’t miss our Revenue Recognition Workshop.
