Gain valuable insight into these evolving sectors and garner tools to efficiently assess and address technological and compliance issues present in your internal controls.

Ryan will be speaking on the topic of Business Continuity and Third Parties: Managing Business Resilience in an Increasingly Decentralized World.

Almost every organization is increasingly relying on vendors, service providers, SaaS and cloud solutions, and other third-parties to execute their operational strategies.  Accordingly, the focus of your business continuity plans must shift toward third-party management.  How can you be sure that the continuity and DR capabilities of your third-parties align with your own organization’s requirements?  Do you and your third-parties have a mutual understanding of each other’s requirements and capabilities, let alone a cohesive plan to respond to incidents?

In this presentation, you will hear about:

  • Defining the nature of the continuity and DR impacts that third-parties can have on you
  • Identifying and measuring business requirements related to the availability of a third-party’s product or service
  • Best practices for third-party due diligence and monitoring programs
  • Reports, certifications, and standards to utilize within your third-party management program
  • Strategies for dealing with smaller or less-mature service providers

Jared will be speaking on the topic of In what ways will Sustainability impact your Organization?

There is increased awareness on the sustainability of business organizations today. That awareness has prompted questions about how business practices align with environmental and social issues of concern to stakeholders. Regulatory requirements are forming to shape how organizations increase transparency on ESG matters and answer these questions. The environmental, social, and governance (ESG) body of knowledge is vast and that presents a challenge to corporate executives today. That is, it’s difficult for corporate executives to understand what ESG initiatives should be prioritized within their organizations and how ESG requirements will impact risk and compliance practices.

We will share our observations about where organizations are focusing their ESG efforts and what types of changes are more likely to occur within Financial Institutions as we continue to monitor the regulatory landscape. Climate risk management is only one segment of the ESG conversation, but it is an issue which continues to be at the forefront of the regulatory agenda. We will discuss methodologies on how to identify climate-related threats and vulnerabilities to your organization and locate opportunities for mitigation.

In this presentation, you will hear about:

  • Learn what the expectations are from various stakeholders, including the regulators’ perspectives
  • Understand the specific risks from ESG and Climate and how to determine how they may apply to your Financial Institution
  • Identify where you are on your ESG journey and what can you do now to build structure around your ESG program development

Colleen and Scott will be speaking on the topic of Auditing Human Resources in 2022 & Beyond.

Talent and culture are now a top priority for many CEOs, Boards of Directors, and investors. Moving past the pandemic, leaders are questioning how to acquire skilled talent and create an organizational culture that will help them thrive. We will discuss evolving your internal audit plan’s human resources coverage to better address people risk and the pitfalls of failing to do so.

In this presentation, you will hear about:

  • Actionable strategies to evaluate your recruitment and retention process
  • Talent trends seen in Human Resources that leaders should be prepared for
  • How to evaluate your institution’s culture
