Shakeb is a Principal and Wolf’s State & Local Tax Practice Leader with nearly 20 years of experience advising privately held, middle-market, and multinational companies on complex multistate tax matters.

His expertise spans state income and franchise tax, sales and use tax, property tax, severance tax, employment tax, tax controversy, tax credits and incentives, and strategic tax planning. Recognized as a leading authority on Texas Franchise Tax, Shakeb helps organizations navigate evolving tax regulations, manage risk, strengthen compliance, and identify opportunities for meaningful tax savings.

Throughout his career, Shakeb has held leadership positions within Big Four, middle-market, consulting, and industry organizations, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on the tax and business challenges facing today’s organizations.

As a licensed attorney in the State of Texas, he draws on both legal and tax advisory experience to help clients navigate increasingly complex state tax environments and identify opportunities to manage risk, improve compliance, and enhance tax efficiency.
