Merganser Capital Management had traditionally outsourced its accounting and finance functions to its parent company. As the firm expanded, it became clear that these functions needed to be managed independently to support its growth. Therefore, Merganser Capital Management sought a specialized accounting team with the ability to implement process improvements and strategy within the accounting and finance function.

In addition, Merganser Capital Management sought a firm that possessed both deep industry knowledge and a proven track record of success, ensuring they could rely on them for accurate and strategic financial management.

Solution

Wolf’s Outsourced Accounting Solutions team collaborated closely with Merganser to understand their business, internal processes, and finance department goals. Wolf’s team facilitated Merganser’s transition to QuickBooks, set up monthly close processes, and created reporting packages for their executives.

Additionally, Wolf worked hand-in-hand with Merganser to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) that evaluate past performance and support future forecasting.
